All good work starts with an initial design and theme. This is the most time intensive part of the process. After discussing your needs, what you want to achieve with your web site, what you like and what you don’t like, I will begin with an initial design. I will incorporate your color scheme and logo or create a new one. And, I don’t just create one design for your to choose from. I will create multiple variations of your theme so that you are utterly thrilled and completely satisfied with the design.
My designs are created using Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or other graphic design software. This makes it easy to export the graphics into fully optimized images for the web.
After you have decided on the design, I then hand code the site into W3C valid XHTML tableless (sometimes) CSS markup. (I say sometimes because tables are not necessarily a bad thing.)
I also might incorporate java script or Flash to achieve certain effects. We will discuss all of the possibilities prior to the design phase.
All of my designs are then tested to ensure compatibility with the major web browsers, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and Safari.
And, the process doesn't end here...
This part of the process tends to be overlooked. So now you have a beautiful web site. What now? It’s very important to continue to monitor your web site to see what is and what isn't working.
During the implementation phase, your pages are coded with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) in mind. I create fully functional meta tags explicitly for search engine crawlers. Each page is given a completely detailed title and description, and I make sure that the content contains all of the keywords visitors might use to find you.
It's important to keep your site fresh and new. I may, from time to time, offer suggestions that might help keep your site looking new and exciting.
