Web designers, developers, and webmasters all over the world know this for a fact. In order to keep your visitors coming back for more, it's essential to keep your site continuosly updated with fresh, new content. One way to achieve this is through the use of "blogging". Blogging allows you to update your content with the click of a button. Your blog can be private, static, dynamic, the possibilities are endless. There are many different applications available, and one I have found to be extremely easy to use and setup is WordPress. Through applications such as WordPress, gone are the days of having websites talk at you. You can now talk back!

This is what web 2.0 is all about - interaction between you and your audience, and a constant new source of fresh information. Providing a means of interaction between you and your audience. Letting your audience become a part of the experience. Social websites like facebook, myspace, youtube and twitter know this all too well.

WordPress is free and is provided under a General Public License. There are 2 default themes that come with the application, "Classic" and "Default". In addition, you can find many themes, widgets, gadgets and plug-ins available for free on their website.

Below is a collection of custom themes I have created for WordPress. You can contact me if you're interested in using any of my themes, or to have a custom theme created especially for you, your company, or your organization!

Box Office Smackdown

Box Office Smackdown

I called this theme "Box Office Smackdown" based on the background image used, colors, and ticket counter look for the right side navigation bar. This theme can be re-arranged and edited to suit your particular blog. It was designed having static pages as well as the dynamic WordPress blog itself. Advertising space can be added just about anywhere, in the header, footer, main content area, and side bar. It can even be modified to include another column for ad space on the left.

The World As We Know It

The World As We Know It

This theme is modeled after the beautifully designed White House website created for President O'Bama. It has a world theme, suitable for blogs that might encompass world type events & news. It has a horizontal navigation bar across the top for static pages, and a right sidebar for blog topics and archives. It's definitely red, white and blue, but not your typical U.S. flag style. Any image can be used for backgrounds, I chose world type themes and places, and those that contained blues and grays.

Big & Bold

Big & Bold

Big & Bold ... where sassy meets brassy! It's trendy, with geometric shapes, big fonts and bold colors. It has the look of a magazine type blog, but you can use it for anything. It's a step away from your normal website layout, as the navigation is at the bottom, and the logo is vertically arranged on the left side. Static pages can be added to suit your blog.
